Introducing Gone With The Wind

It is, officially, the biggest movie ever made, having been seen by more people (and earned more money, adjusted for inflation) than any other film.  It remains one of the biggest Oscar winners in history.  Three directors, a host of writers and one unwavering producer spent years – and millions of dollars – to bring it to the screen.  It made a star out of Vivien Leigh and an icon out of Clark Gable.

And ever since I pitched the idea to Derby QUAD of doing Epic! – an ongoing strand of screenings of “the films you must see on the big screen” – I knew I’d be introducing Gone With The Wind.

Thanks to the recent 4K digital restoration, the time has come.  Join me at 2pm on Sunday, 2nd February, to watch all four hours of classic Hollywood goodness.

Frankly, my dear, you should give a damn.
