The Best Films of 2011 so far – as crowd-sourced by you!
UPDATE: Poll now closed. Click here to see The Best Movie of 2011 so far!
Riddle me this.
We’re nearly halfway through 2011. Judging by one journalist’s mad crusade to watch every film released in the UK this year, I should have watched over 250 new films by now. In truth, it’s more like 30.
Inevitably, I’ll have missed some cracking stuff. Inevitably, so too will you. So, rather than wait until December, when there will be 500-600 movies to try and catch up in a couple of weeks, I’d like to know what the best fiilms of 2011 so far have been. That way, we can all stagger watching the highlights and recommendations we’ve missed over the next six months.
“The King’s Speech? Thor? Midgets vs Mascots? What are your favourite films of 2011 so far?”
So I’m opening the floor to you. Tell me up to 5 movies released this year you think I should watch. I may have seen them already – it doesn’t matter. I’m trying to build up a comprehensive list, from as many people as possible. If I get enough people involved, I’ll blog the results here on 1st July.
So post your favourites here, tweet me or comment on my Facebook page. Cheers.

I know I tweeted you some earlier, but just for the sake of having them all in one place I've listed 5 (6) below.
There's a good chance I'll have missed something, but this was pretty much gut reaction. I've excluded best picture noms (although most wouldn't make it anyways). They're in no particular order and should show some variety.
Meek's Cutoff
How I Ended this Summer
Blue Valentine
Adjustment Bureau

NOTE: If LiTTLEROCK counts then that replaces Source Code.
