ID Fest – Derby’s first film festival 25th-28th November

The mighty talents at my local arthouse cinema, QUAD, have launched Derby’s first ever Film Festival, which takes place 25th – 28th November.

Called ID Fest, it’s a celebration of all things British on film, with discussions, interviews and screenings of a whole raft of homegrown classics, from The Third Man to Wallace & Gromit.  Speakers/guests include David Morrissey, Kwame Kwei-Armah and Control screenwriter Matt Greenhalgh.

DISCLAIMER: I’m involved, too, as I’ll be introducing one of my favourite British films, Children of Men, on Sunday 28th November!

The amazing thing is: passes to see everything are only £30 (or £25 for QUAD members and concessions).  With around 30 films to choose from over the four days, that’s gotta be bargain of the year.

Check out full listings at the ID Fest website or follow the fest at See you there; don’t forget to bring your ID.
