An Announcement, and an Apology

August 18, 2010 by Simon Kinnear in Opinion with 0 Comments

Anyone who’s been following this blog for any length of time will know that, roughly, once a month, I introduce a screening at my local cinema, the Derby QUAD.

Tonight sees the start of “You Don’t Know Jack,” a mini-season at the QUAD celebrating the career of Jack Nicholson.  Things kick off with Chinatown, and I’ll be introducing Roman Polanski’s masterpiece at 8.30pm.  So if you can get there, why not come along? (If not, don’t worry; I’ll post the talk here in due course!)

Other films showing between now and 4th September include the re-issued Five Easy Pieces and Nicholson’s Oscar-winning As Good As It GetsFull details of the season here.

And now, that apology.

Some things are sacred, and Back To The Future is pretty near the top of the list.  But I’ve gone and done a Banksy on it anyway for Total Film.  Sorry.
